Healthy with a good family history of physical and mental health
Healthy BMI, within range 21-29
Between the ages of 21-35
No smoking, drug use, or excessive alcohol use (donors are tested)

Sperm Donor Timeline
1. Application & Interview
Once you apply online, an extensive interview and consultation is scheduled to determine eligibility and discuss the sperm donation process.
2. Profile Published
After the interview, your profile will be published in the database for Intended Parents to view.
3. Psychological Screening
After being matched, we will book you a quick psychological screening appointment before moving forward.
4. Genetic Consultation
You will also have a consultation with a geneticist to go over family medical history and demographic history health.
5. Medical Screening
Your clinic will schedule a final medical screening appointment. This will include a physical screening, blood work (STD, nicotine, drugs, hormones, and genetics), and meeting with the nurse/doctor to go over the process again and answer any additional questions.
6. Legal Agreement
Once you have been medically cleared to move forward, the drafting and execution of the legal contract between you and the Intended Parents will commence.
7. Sperm Retrieval
Deposits used in the development of embryos will take place at a fertility clinic agreed upon by you and your Intended Parent(s).

Who can become a sperm donor?
Healthy men between 18-35 may apply to donate with The Genesis Group, provided they have no significant medical or genetic conditions.

Who uses donated sperm?
Individuals or couples facing infertility, single women, or same-sex female couples often use donated sperm to conceive.

What are the health requirements?
Donors must pass a series of health screenings, including tests for STIs, genetic disorders, and general fitness.

Will I have parental rights, responsibilities, or contact from the donor-conceived child?
As a Donor, you will sign agreements waiving any parental rights or obligations. As for future contact from the child, this depends on whether the donation was anonymous or open. We strive to facilitate open donations to allow donor-conceived individuals to contact ther Donors at 18 years of age. We do facilitate anonymous donations as well, depending on the expectations and preferences of the Donor and Intended Parents.

There are no physical risks; however, there may be emotional considerations. We ensure our Donors fully understand what this incredible and life-changing process entails. Donors provide deserving families the genetic material necessary for them to complete their dream of conceiving a child.
